Researchers are required to contribute to the research program of the Australian Centre for Economic Research on Health at The University of Queensland (ACERH UQ)
The Australian Centre for Economic Research on Health (ACERH) is a multi-university research centre constituted by researchers from The Australian National University (ANU), The University of Queensland (UQ) and the University of Western Australia (UWA). The Centre’s focus is on applied health economics research in three main areas: health care financing and insurance; health costs and ageing; and the economic burden of illness and injury.
The Role: The appointee(s) will undertake research in the field of health economics and will be encouraged to work closely with colleagues in this field. This will include participation in the research agenda of the Director of the UQ Node of ACERH, Professor Luke Connelly. The appointee(s) will also be encouraged to develop and extend the ACERH research agenda in health economics by initiating novel research projects, and to seek competitive research funding to advance the Centre’s research agenda.
The Person: These positions would suit new or established postdoctoral researchers in the field of economics, econometrics, and health economics. Applications for full-time and part-time appointments are encouraged. The level of appointment (A-C) will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and achievements. A background in health economics may be an advantage, but applicants with expertise in economics, econometrics, or another field of economics ( labour economics, public and regulatory economics, industrial economics, etc.) who are interested in working in health economics are encouraged to apply.
Remuneration: Up to two fixed-term appointments (full-time or part-time) are available at ACERH UQ. The level of appointments will depend on qualifications, experience and achievements. Applications for fractional and full-time appointments are encouraged. The remuneration package will be in the range of $49,704 to $100,265 per annum (Academic Levels A to C), plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
