Following the submission of his PhD thesis in 2008, Ian took up an appointment as Visiting Fellow at ACERH (ANU) to undertake further research on the Australian GP market. This work follows from his PhD thesis and is focused on the underlying supply and demand structures in the GP market, and the impact of government policy decisions on the behaviour of the market.  The varying trends in this market over the last 15 years, and the major government policy interventions provide an opportunity for analysis which follows on from the findings in his doctoral work on the determinants of supply and demand in the Australian GP market.
