Dr Hasanova's postgraduate research interests have focused on economic modeling, economic growth, structural reforms and trade with a particular application to the transitional economies. Based on her research, she has accumulated significant experience in quantitative analysis, economic and applied econometric modeling, which brought her to ACERH .

Dr Hasanova will be working on a range of health economics related disciplines under the NHMRC grant "Innovative Analysis of Health Insurance, Ageing and the Economic Burden of Illness and Injury Project". Her particular interests involve health, income and socioeconomic status, costs of decease prevention and macroeconomics impact of infectious diseases.
