Dorte Gyrd-Hansen is Professor of Health Economics at The University of Queensland as well as at the University of Southern Denmark. Her primary academic interests are in preference elicitation and behavioral economics. In recent years she has worked extensively with risk communication and valuation of health care benefits. She has wide experience with cross-disciplinary work and has worked extensively on long term projects with people representing epidemiology, medicine and sociology. Alongside her research activities she has extensive teaching experience in the topic of economic evaluation and health economics.
